Welcome to the Bishopville Volunteer Fire Department Web Site. Although, a work in progress, we are sporting a new look and design. We hope that the site is easier to navigate. As we continue to evolve, we ask that you check back from time to time to see our improvements and progress.
The Bishopville Volunteer Fire Department would like to Thank You for your interest and support. Like yourselves, we are very mindful of the economic crisis that our Country and most importantly the Local Level faces. This issue affects all of us and each of us must do our part.
Our goals remain the same and we shall not waiver from providing quality FIRE/EMS/Rescue Services to our residents and Visitors. However, without your continued support, we would not be able to provide the level of Emergency Services to our community.
To maintain our department, outfit our firefighters, provide specialized training, repair equipment and to replace aged apparatus costs a significant amount of money. Your tax-deductible donation will be used to maintain this service and provide so much more.
We have 65 dedicated volunteer members that are trained and certified as firefighters. In addition, we also have several members that maintain many specialty certifications to provide the highest level of response and service to our neighbors, residents and businesses.
This year, we replaced our tanker of which served thirty-six years. Additionally, we have established a fund to refurbish/rebuild our existing main street fire station. The station was built in 1965 and the condition of the building warrants upgrades and changes to meet the needs of a modern fire department.
As we continue to ensure safety please remember that we appreciate your assistance.
